Questbook

The workbook that stars your child

Real math and reading for grades K–5 — 20 minutes a day, wrapped in an adventure built around their name, their world, and the things they refuse to stop talking about.

The sample is 20 real pages with their name in it — not a brochure.

A real day page from Emily's book: Number Magic equal-groups problems, then a Word Magic lesson on author's purpose, ending with a Did You Know fact

An actual page from Emily’s book — the founder’s daughter, and so far our only customer.

One page. Twenty minutes. Done.

Five days a week, with a mixed review every Friday and weekends off. It is a school rhythm, not a stack of worksheets.

Math first
Short and focused — never a wall of forty sums.
Then reading & writing
The other half of a school day, on the same page.
New skills are taught before they are tested
A worked example in plain language, so they can do it without you sitting there.
Ends with a fun fact
The reason they turn the page again tomorrow.

Why this exists

My daughter’s school stopped setting homework. She is eight, she was bored, and the workbooks we bought were gray photocopies of the same twenty sums.

So I built her one. Her name on the cover, a dog called Pippin as her companion, reading passages about the things she loves. She asked to do it. That is the whole trick — the math was never the hard part, the wanting-to-open-it was.

Then I wondered whether it would work for anyone else’s child, so I turned it into this. Every book is generated fresh for one child. No two are the same.

To be straight with you: my daughter is the only child who has used one so far. If you order early, you are helping me find out what is wrong with it — and I will fix anything you tell me about, same day.

A real curriculum wearing a costume

The adventure is the sugar. Underneath it is the structure of an actual school month.

Taught before tested
Every new skill opens with a worked example in plain language. That is what lets a child work independently.
Friday is always review
The week ends with a mixed review of only what was actually taught — nothing a child has not seen yet.
Answers that cannot be pattern-guessed
Multiple-choice options are shuffled uniquely per book. The only way through is to actually read the passage.
The standards, in writing
Every book prints the exact Common Core codes it covers for your grade, so you know what is being practiced.
Focus where they wobble
Shaky on times tables or fractions? Say so — those skills come around about three times as often.
Answer keys for grown-ups
Every math and reading answer, matched to your child’s exact copy.

One month, one price

No subscription, no account, no upsell ladder. We used to list a three-month tier — we withdrew it because month three was not good enough yet. When it is, it comes back.

If it is not right for your child, email me within 30 days and I will refund you. You keep the book.

Questions parents ask

Is this real schoolwork or a novelty?
Real schoolwork. Each grade follows Common Core standards for math and English, and the exact codes covered are printed in the book. The adventure is the wrapper, not the substance.
What do I actually get?
A print-ready PDF, about 59 pages: 20 daily pages, reading passages chosen around your child’s interests, a research project, a star chart, a diploma with their name, and full answer keys.
Can I print it?
As many times as you like, at home or at any print shop. Designed for color but perfectly readable in black and white.
What if my child is between levels?
Pick the grade that fits, and tell me if it lands too easy or too hard — I will rebuild it a grade up or down for free.
Can I buy more than one month?
Not yet. I am writing month two and would rather sell one honest month than three where two are repeats. Order once and I will email you when it exists.
What is the refund policy?
Email me within 30 days and I will refund you. You keep the book.
